Africa Summit

AIPC is proud to announce its first Africa Summit, which will take place on February 27^th at the Sandton Convention Center in Johannesburg (South-Africa), just before the start of Meetings Africa.

During this one-day summit, which will be a combination of lectures and facilitated networking, we will touch upon both the global outlook for convention centers and the specificities of the African market landscape.

The goal of this summit, taking place during Bond-Day at Meetings Africa, is to bring together the African Community of Convention Center leaders to discuss the specific challenges and opportunities African convention centers face and to identify possible areas of collaboration and partnerships. This will be combined with a set of lectures by global thought leaders on venue technology, design, sustainability and resource management.  

It is important to note that the event is open to the full community of African convention center leaders, not only AIPC members, as we want to make this event as inclusive as possible. That is also why the participation fee will be waived for this first edition.
