As cyber threats continue to evolve at unprecedented speed, so does the resilience of the AIPC community. Throughout 2024, our AIPC Cyber Insights Webinars have become a trusted space for venue leaders to learn from each other, benchmark real-world challenges, and exchange practical solutions that work in the convention centre environment.
This year, we introduced a rotating co-host format, inviting digital, ICT and operations leaders from across our membership to join Robert McClure (Managing Director, Paratus) live on each session. The result has been powerful: peer-to-peer learning grounded in transparency, actionability and shared experience.
From Craig Colley (The Convention Centre Dublin), who shared lessons from implementing segmented networks, AI-supported workflows and cyber insurance readiness, to Stuart Melville (Scottish Event Campus), who demonstrated how to scale cyber maturity under real-world constraints, each edition has reinforced the same message: cyber security is no longer a specialised task, it is a core operational responsibility.
We are now preparing the January 2026 edition, which will explore a timely question for every venue: New Year, can we become and stay more preventative?
We will look at the key cyber themes that emerged across 2025, and how venue leaders can anticipate threats earlier, reinforce operational resilience, and leverage the AIPC cyber intelligence database to stay ahead rather than react.
To ensure we continue reflecting the diversity and strength of our global membership, we are inviting volunteers to co-host the upcoming session. Co-hosts do not need to be cyber specialists — only willing to share their centre’s journey, lessons learned and practical approaches.
