We are pleased to invite you to a webinar introducing the updated AIPC Quality Standards Program.
Since its launch in 2007, the AIPC Quality Standards Program has provided an industry-specific framework for identifying and evaluating key areas of convention centre performance.
Supported by a professional, independent audit process, the program documents policies and procedures across core management areas — from customer service and facility quality to employee relations, financial integrity, sustainability, and security. Centres that complete the audit process proudly earn the “AIPC Quality Standards Audited” designation, a credential that enhances credibility with clients, owners, and communities.
To keep pace with the evolving business environment, the Standards have now been updated for the first time. Effective September 1, 2025, 11 new or revised elements have been added, including:
- Security leadership for rapid response to emergencies (evacuation, lockdown, shelter-in-place)
- Special access provisions for inclusivity
- Regular employee feedback on inclusivity in the workplace
- Comprehensive cybersecurity requirements
- Expanded sustainability initiatives
These new requirements apply to all applications received from September 1, 2025.
About the Webinar
This session will walk you through the main sections of the Standards, beginning with their purpose: to help participants establish the foundations for continuous improvement and support them in achieving their goals. We’ll then:
- Clarify why centres may want to pursue or renew certification
- Provide an overview of the Standards and the new elements
- Take a deeper look into the requirements
- Explain the audit process
- Share insights on how to maximise the value of certification once achieved
