TVS brings contextual, culturally relevant design to AIPC

Our global experience and knowledge of working in different countries and cultures allow us to create flexible and adaptable designs that cater to diverse audiences. For example, we applied decades of this culturally relevant design expertise to the recently completed Jio World Convention Centre in the heart of Mumbai, India. 

Mumbai needed a multi-faceted, flexible venue that could host distinguished events and establish India’s ability to deliver superlative exhibitions, conventions and conferences. The goal was to create a series of spaces future-proofed for multipurpose, international, and state events. It was critical that the venue be capable of simultaneously hosting events while incorporating the most advanced technology. Accessibility for all was a major driver for this convention center – the owners were clear that it must defy socio-cultural standards rooted in class and be a true gift to the city of Mumbai. 

With an area totaling 48,000 square meters, this facility is currently India’s largest integrated convention and exhibition center. The design borrows elements from Indian culture with an international appeal to result in an iconic building and operationally is customized to the level of service that is unique to India. It simply would not fit anywhere else in the world.
