Staying Vigilant: Unauthorised Attendee List Offers

Date: 27/02/2026

Category:

Several members have recently forwarded emails from third parties claiming to offer access to pre-registered attendee lists for upcoming AIPC events.

These messages are not authorised by AIPC.

They typically involve external companies scraping publicly available information and approaching members with misleading or inflated claims, including inaccurate registration numbers and unauthorised data offers.

AIPC does not sell attendee lists.
We do not share participant contact details with third parties.
Any official communication will always come from the @aipc.org domain.

Unfortunately, this type of activity is not uncommon across international associations and major events. It is designed to appear credible by referencing real event names and venues.

What You Should Do

If you receive:

  • An offer to purchase an AIPC attendee list
  • A suspicious outreach claiming large pre-registration numbers
  • Any email requesting payment or access to delegate data

Please do not engage.

Instead, we encourage you to forward the message to: cyber@aipc.org

Shared awareness strengthens the entire community. By reporting suspicious activity, you help protect fellow members and maintain the integrity of our events.

We also recommend periodically reviewing your organisation’s cybersecurity and email filtering settings, as well as ensuring that your official contact details are up to date in the Members’ Area to continue receiving verified AIPC communications.

At AIPC, collective vigilance is part of collective leadership.

Thank you for your continued attention and cooperation.
