After a successful first edition in Melbourne in 2025, we crossed “the ditch” to Auckland for the second edition of the AIPC ANZ Academy.
We had the pleasure of welcoming participants from all major convention centres from Australia and New-Zealand for an intense week, both exhausting and energizing and at times even emotional. But what a great week it was. To quote Bree Smith from the Perth Convention Center: “I already know that the enormous wealth of information I took away from the week will shape my career for years to come. I made connections with peers across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, along with facilitators from all over the world, who I feel confident I can call on for advice, support or just a friendly chat with someone who understands.”
We also had some amazing New Zealand experiences, from the All Blacks to a moving session with Kingi Makoare, Māori cultural consultant and advisor, making us realize how deep connections can go.
This second edition of the ANZ Academy took place in the brand-new New Zealand ICC, which opened officially the week before. And while the building is truly amazing, it is the staff which really makes the difference. Faculty and participants were treated like royalty throughout the week – a big thank you to Prue and her team!
