Net Zero Carbon Events Initiative

Dear Net Zero Carbon Events supporters,

We are pleased to inform you that the Net Zero Carbon Events Initiative has made significant progress towards achieving our goals since our last update in February 2023. We have uploaded the latest progress report on our website, which you can access by clicking here.

The report provides detailed information on the actions taken so far to develop methodologies towards our target of achieving net-zero carbon emissions in the events industry. It gives a detailed overview of the initiative in general and presents the activities of individual workstreams: Venue Energy, Smart Production and Waste Management, Logistics, Food and Food Waste, Travel & Accommodation, Carbon Offsetting, Measurement and Reporting.

We hope that this report will provide you with an insight into the work we have been doing and the positive impact we are having on our industry.

On behalf of the measurement workstream and the carbon offsetting workstream we will be contacting all supporters in the next weeks for data collection and hope for your active participation. Furthermore, a webinar focusing on reporting will be organised in the end of June 2023. Invitations will be sent out a few weeks before.
