Net Zero Carbon Event Update

At COP27, the Net Zero Carbon Event roadmap was officially presented. This 80 page document, which can be found here, outlines how the event industry will become net zero carbon by 2050 and concludes phase 2 of the Net Zero Carbon Events initiative.

The next step consists of making detailed roadmaps on a number of prioritized topics via different working groups of workstreams. Eight workstreams have been identified to deliver on the priorities identified by the Roadmap (Measurement, Reporting, Carbon offsetting, Venue energy, Production and Waste, Food and food waste, Logistics, Travel and Accommodation). AIPC will be leading the Venue Energy workstream.
