More about the center

The Royal College of Physicians is an elegant, award-winning Grade 1 listed modernist building overlooking Regent’s Park in Central London. The RCP is England’s oldest medical institution, incorporated by Royal Charter in 1518. The College has purpose designed conference facilities for up to 300 people, and is one of the world’s leading centres for medical and scientific events. Facilities include two tiered lecture theatres, a spectrum of modern and historic meeting rooms, and a versatile range of exhibition spaces and dining facilities. Specific event locations include the Dorchester Library, which houses one of the world’s most extensive collections of medical books and documents, the spectacular Council Chamber, and the historic Censors’ Room, the centrepiece of the College’s ceremonial events. All facilities and services are supported by professional in-house teams. Conference clients have access to additional facilities to enhance their event, including the College’s heritage collections of artefacts, art, silver, books and manuscripts, and its unique medicinal garden, the largest of its kind in the UK. All revenue generated by the conference activity helps to support the work of the College in improving the quality of health care all over the world.
