Opened in November 2004, the CCIB is unique in Europe due to its modern facilities, capacity, architectural design, technical resources, location in the city, surrounding hotel offer and public transport network.
The CCIB, with a capacity to host up to 10,000 delegates, consists of two buildings in a total area of 100,000sqm: the Convention Centre and the Forum Auditorium, both connected by an underground walkway. Among its spaces of different sizes, all column free and with natural daylight, outstands the Banquet Hall with a terrace overlooking the sea.
The venue provides in-house services to cover all the requirements of any type of event, a gastronomic offer inspired in modern Catalan cuisine to delight every palate and professional and experienced staff.
Its commitment to the events, the city, its social surroundings and the environment has led it to achieve the ISO 20121, ISO 22000 and the Biosphere certifications.
