Leadership is rarely tested when everything goes according to plan.
At the AIPC Academy 2026 (12–17 April), participants will step into an immersive crisis simulation led by Stuart Cole and Jason Oglesby of Greyscale Intelligence, two professionals shaped by decades of high-stakes investigative and negotiation work.
This is not a theoretical session about risk.
It is a live experience designed to expose how leaders think, communicate and decide when pressure escalates.
Negotiation Under Extreme Conditions
Stuart Cole brings 28 years of law enforcement experience, including 18 years as a Hostage and Crisis Negotiator, trained by the Canadian Police College and the FBI. His career spans homicide investigations, organized crime and undercover operations where composure and strategic communication determined outcomes.
At the Academy, participants will experience how decision-making shifts when information is incomplete and consequences are immediate.
Crisis Beyond Operations
Jason Oglesby, a former detective specializing in major crimes and cyber investigations, now advises organisations navigating data breaches and reputational crises. His perspective bridges operational response and executive leadership.
His message is clear: crisis is human before it is technical.
Fairness, clarity and defensible decisions protect organisations.
Why This Matters
Convention centres operate in complex environments: cybersecurity risks, geopolitical sensitivity, reputational exposure and stakeholder pressure.
This simulation mirrors that reality. Participants will confront escalating uncertainty, competing interests and time-critical decisions revealing how leadership truly operates under stress.
Because leadership is not defined in routine moments.
It is revealed when clarity must be created from chaos.
