AIPC will launch a Production Working Group. The goal of the group is to bring together persons working at the production side of events in convention centres on a 6-weekly basis to discuss best practices, challenges faced, and solutions found.
The key driver for creating this group is the simple fact … that there is no forum where these topics can be discussed between convention centre specialists.
The objective is to grow the AIPC production community by:
- At working group level
- Share best practices
- Share success/failure stories
- Discuss common challenges/solutions
- Promote the use of in-house production
- At AIPC level
- Share best practices
- Share case studies
- Provide input to the educational activities of AIPC (either by joining or by teaching)
- Provide guidance with regards to partnerships with business partners
- At industry level
- Engage with professionals at other global associations via joint events
- Promote the use of in-house production
The working group will be chaired by Dave Young (Head of Production at ICC Belfast) and will start to meet as from September.
