Bangkok, 30 May 2025 – In celebration of World Environment Day, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) proudly becomes the first convention center in Thailand to introduce a Real-Time Carbon Footprint Tracking Dashboard for MICE events. This groundbreaking innovation will be piloted at two major upcoming events—Asia Sustainable Energy Week 2025 and the International Engineering Expo 2025—taking place this July. QSNCC aims to set a new benchmark for sustainable events and raise Thailand’s MICE industry to international standards.

The dashboard, developed by AltoTech Global Co., Ltd., is part of the Winnovation program supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). It is a smart digital platform that uses real-time data to calculate greenhouse gas emissions from various sources, such as energy usage, food consumption, packaging, and participant travel. This enables both event organizers and attendees to clearly understand the environmental impact of their activities—instantly and transparently. The insights can then be used to plan effective carbon reduction or offset strategies, paving the way toward truly carbon-neutral events.

Mr. Surapol Utintu, CEO of QSNCC, stated: “As a leader in sustainability, QSNCC is committed to advancing green initiatives in every dimension. We began by adopting ISO 14064-1 and Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) standards to measure and report greenhouse gas emissions. Building on this foundation, we are now implementing event-specific carbon footprint assessments (CFE) in a more systematic way. The launch of the Real-Time Carbon Footprint Tracking Dashboard marks a significant milestone in establishing a strong foundation for truly sustainable and environmentally friendly events. We aim for ‘Asia Sustainable Energy Week 2025’ and ‘the International Engineering Expo 2025’ to serve as models for other events looking to raise their sustainability standards—setting a new benchmark for Thailand’s MICE industry.”
