AIPC member BMO Centre Calgary has once again been recognised on the international stage, with its landmark BMO Centre Expansion receiving the American Architecture Award 2025 in the Exposition Centre category. The jury praised the project as “a convention centre unlike any other in the world,” highlighting its meticulous design and architectural ambition.
This latest honour builds on a strong awards track record in 2024, including recognitions from ENR, ACEC Canada, and The Chicago Athenaeum. Delivered by CMLC for the Calgary Stampede and the City of Calgary, and designed by Populous, S2 Architecture and Stantec, the expansion reinforces Calgary’s position as a leading international meetings destination.
