Bangkok, Thailand, January 18, 2021 – Despite a new wake of COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand, Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) announced the centre remains open with both Thai and international events still going as planned. Following the government policies and guidance, BITEC coordinates with all relevant sectors to ensure employees carry out the international standards security and hygiene when performing duties and delivering services.
“BITEC has always followed the government policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19 strictly since the first wave in 2020. Apart from strengthening measures and adjusting the service requirements to be in line with the current policy, BITEC has requested employees to participate in online training sessions on hygiene and service quality control to ensure the safety of exhibitors and visitors,” said Panittha Buri, Managing Director of Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
Intensive infection control measures at BITEC include temperature screening at entrances, stationing ‘Thai Chana’ for check-in and check-out, cleaning all touch surfaces including restrooms and parking badges, providing alcohol gel at every service point, wearing a hygienic mask at all time, and keeping a distance of at least one metre from each other. BITEC also uses UVC Technology to kill viruses in all service areas and provides a video showing processes to reduce the risk of COVID-19.
With its strict measures, working systems, and positive outcomes throughout the past year, BITEC has created trust among exhibitors, organisers, and business operators. The trust led to important exhibitions, trade fairs, and conferences at both national and international levels to be hosted at BITEC in the first half of the year 2021. The confirmed upcoming events include SAHA Group Fair 2021, Asia Fashion (Thailand) Show H & B 2021, Architechnica Asia & Horti Asia 2021, MEGA Show Bangkok 2021, and Bangkok Beauty Show 2021.
