The business events sector in Australia and New Zealand continues to flourish, and the need for outstanding convention centre leadership remains strong.

In partnership with the Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) and the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC), AIPC is proud to present the second edition of the AIPC ANZ Academy, a premier leadership and professional development program tailored to the region.

Taking place from 16–20 February 2026, this five-day immersive program will be hosted at the newly opened NZICC in Auckland. It will equip industry professionals with the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to advance excellence in convention centre operations through expert-led sessions, practical exercises, and meaningful peer exchange.

By investing in regional talent, AIPC, ABEA, and NZICC are reinforcing their commitment to strengthening the future of convention centres across the ANZ region. The move to Aotearoa New Zealand highlights the Academy’s growing impact and continued focus on access, relevance, and operational excellence.

DATE AND TIME: Monday, 16 February 2026 – Friday, 20 February 2026

LOCATION: New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC)

WHAT TO EXPECT:

The second edition of the AIPC ANZ Academy, delivered in partnership with ABEA and NZICC, is an intensive 5-day bootcamp designed to cover all key aspects of venue management — from finance and operations to strategy and leadership.

Delivered through a mix of engaging formats, including lectures by global thought leaders, hands-on workshops, and interactive team challenges, the program provides participants with practical insights, industry best practices, and valuable networking opportunities with peers from across the region..

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

The AIPC ANZ Academy is designed for middle and senior management professionals working across the convention centre and venue industry who are eager to deepen their expertise and shape the future of venue management in the Asia-Pacific region.

This academy is expected to welcome 25 – 30 attendees, with a maximum of 40.

As with other AIPC regional academies, industry experts from both global and regional markets will be available throughout the programme to share insights and offer coaching and guidance during the interactive team challenges.

Beyond learning, building strong professional connections is a key focus. At the end of the programme, participants will have established a valuable network of industry peers, enabling continued exchange of ideas and collaboration long after the academy ends.

REGISTRATION

The AIPC ANZ Academy is offered at a competitive rate Members: $3,455.00 NZD and Non-Members: $3,675.00 (excluding travel and accommodation).

The fee includes:

  • Course-work and session materials
  • Breaks and lunches on all conference days
  • Welcome cocktail reception on Monday, February16th February 2026
  • Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea each day
  • Team dinners on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th February 2026
  • Certificate of achievement
  • Entry into the AIPC ANZ Alumni Program and global network
