AIPC Working Groups are where our community comes together to tackle key challenges, share expertise, and shape the future of our industry. What started with one initiative in 2022 has now grown into four dedicated groups, each bringing together members from around the globe to exchange insights and co-create practical solutions.
Cyber Working Group (launched 2022)
Recent events have underscored the critical importance of cyber resilience for all types of organizations, including convention centres. To address this, AIPC launched the Cyber Task Force at the 2022 Annual Conference, which has since evolved into the Cyber Working Group.
The group collects data, tracks emerging threats, and publishes a monthly report to keep members informed of trends to be mindful of. It also serves as a peer-to-peer forum for sharing strategies and best practices on cyber security.

Sustainability Working Group (launched 2024)
One year ago, AIPC launched its Sustainability Working Group, now consisting of 8 dedicated sustainability officers from across the globe.
The group’s mission is to network, exchange practical solutions, and support AIPC’s engagement in the Net Zero Carbon Events initiative. One of its first outcomes has been the collection of sustainability case studies, which are now published regularly in the AIPC monthly newsletter and made available via the AIPC Intranet.
Sales & Marketing Working Group (launching 2025)
This new group is designed with a slightly different purpose: to connect upcoming sales and marketing professionals from the AIPC community with senior leaders in the field.
The format is simple but powerful: the group will meet digitally every six weeks. Each session begins with a 30-minute interview with a sales & marketing leader, followed by a 30-minute peer discussion on lessons learned.

Production Working Group (launching 2025)
The Production Working Group will provide a space for members to exchange knowledge on how centres are adapting their production capabilities to meet evolving client demands. From hybrid event models to innovative staging and AV solutions, the group will serve as a collaborative hub for sharing expertise and identifying emerging best practices.

Each AIPC Working Group offers something unique, but they share a common purpose: to strengthen our global network, support professional growth, and provide members with tangible tools to respond to industry challenges.
We encourage all members to engage with one or more of these groups—whether by joining as a participant, sharing case studies, or volunteering as a guest speaker. Together, we can turn collective knowledge into collective strength.
