Each year, the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America organizes its “Light the World in Teal” campaign to raise Alzheimer’s awareness.  They have been getting major buildings, landmarks, City Halls, hotels, airports, stadiums and arenas, assisted living facilities, bridges, museums, and more to participate.  Last year, over 1,000  buildings and landmarks around the world participated, including the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, the Torch Doha the Wrigley Building, U.S. Bank Tower, One Vanderbilt, and Willis Tower.  Obviously, the Foundation is hoping to increase those numbers this year.

The date of this initiative will be November 1, 2024.

It would be a tremendous help to the Foundation to really raise awareness, make people take notice, and hopefully, this will have some kind of impact.  For each convention center, this would be great publicity, showing that it is working with a great cause.  Not only that, but the initiative gets a ton of publicity on this project each year in newspapers, magazines, on TV, and the Foundation promotes it on social media and in our internal publications.

If your convention would like to participate, please send a mail to Sandy Silverstein of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (ssilverstein@alzfdn.org).

Best regards,

Sven Bossu
