After meeting the world and exploring the future in Shenzhen, the AIPC Annual Conference continues its journey to Bilbao, Spain, from 28 June to 1st July 2026, a destination where innovation meets authenticity and culture sparks inspiration.
Hosted at the award-winning Euskalduna Bilbao Conference Centre, this year’s conference will bring together convention centre leaders from around the globe to explore three interconnected themes: innovation and transformation, people and hospitality, and legacy and community impact. Over three days, discussions will focus on how venues can drive change within their organisations, strengthen partnerships across the industry, and create lasting value for their cities and communities.
Bilbao itself is an integral part of the conference experience. On Monday evening, delegates will be invited to a guided visit and dinner at the iconic Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, offering a unique opportunity to connect ideas, people and place in one of Europe’s most celebrated cultural landmarks. On Tuesday, the programme extends beyond the conference centre with a visit to a traditional txakoli wine house, providing an authentic taste of the Basque region and an informal setting for networking and exchange. On Wednesday, participants will have the opportunity to further explore the destination through optional visits, including a behind-the-scenes visit to San Mamés Stadium.
Beyond the conference sessions, the programme is designed to foster meaningful exchanges through interactive formats, peer-to-peer discussions and dedicated networking moments ensuring participants leave not only inspired, but equipped with practical insights to take back to their venues.
Conference registration will open soon, but hotel booking links are already available, and early reservations are strongly encouraged.
Save the dates: Bilbao 2026 promises to be more than a conference; it will be a celebration of ideas, innovation and the human connections shaping the future of our industry.
