Registration & Badging

Your onsite registration documents will be available on July 3 at the registration desk (Opera House) and include your conference badge, a welcome letter and other materials. From July 4 onwards, your registration documents can be picked up at the registration desk at Hungexpo.

English is the official language of the meeting.

Currency

The local currency in Budapest is Hungarian Forint (Ft), sometimes referred to as HUF.
Currently the exchange rate is approximately €1 = 403 Ft . (rate at 27 June 22)
There are many ATMs (cash machines) around the city which accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Plus, Maestro, Cirrus). The majority of shops and restaurants also accept cards.

The outlook for Budapest shows the average daytime maximum temperature will be around 34°. A heat wave is expected.

Electricity

The electric current in Hungary is of 230 V and 50 Hz. If you need an adapter for your electric devices, it is recommended to get one at home or at an international airport, because at Hungarian hardware stores you will most likely only find adapters intended for Hungarian people to take abroad.

Health & Safety

Effective March 7th, Hungary has waived most COVID-19 restrictions. That means anybody can enter the country without any certificate or PCR test from any country.

Masks are not compulsory any longer. Nevertheless, AIPC will put all required measures in place to provide a safe environment for its event attendees. Measures will be taken according to the local regulations applicable at the time of the event and to what AIPC deem necessary to manage the risk for its event attendees.

Delegates will be expected to take common actions to reduce the risk of COVID transmission, and to behave responsibly (including leaving the event area) in case of exposure to a COVID case or experiencing symptoms.
